Tips for better listings
Welcome to the new Skilliga. Here are some key tips to help your listings stand out and perform at their best.
Title and descriptions
Make sure your title is catchy and clear, and your descriptions helpful, thorough and readable. You can use our built-in AI assistant to suggest tweaks to your descriptions.
Set your dates (and times)
…for live events. They will be automatically added to the Skilliga calendar.
Cover image
You can upload your own image, choose a royalty-free photo from our library, or even use our AI tool to generate a custom one based on your listing's text.
Since images and titles are the first things people see on the homepage, they’re your best way to make a great first impression!
To ensure your listing looks its best and reaches the most people, avoid using images with text. With labels such as "Don't miss", category names (e.g., "Resources" or "Conference"), the cost label, and the heart symbol for Collections, an image with its own text quickly becomes crowded and hard to read.
Clean, text-free images are prioritised in search results, are eligible to be featured on the homepage and can be saved to Collections. If you have a flyer, banner or poster, please add those to your listing gallery instead - they will look great there!
Logo
We recommend a square format; try to keep it simple and avoid small text, so that your logo stays clear and recognisable.
URL-to-listing with AI
Save time by using our “Create a listing from a URL” tool. Simply paste a link to your event from another site, and our AI will automatically pull the information into a new draft. It’s the fastest way to get your content live.
Note: This is still an experimental feature. While it saved us a huge amount of time during the migration from our old site, the results might not always be perfect, so please review the draft carefully before publishing.
Monitor your stats
Keep an eye on your listing statistics. If you notice that a listing isn't performing as well as you'd like, try changing the cover image or refining the title.
