Introduction to Medical Device Localization

This introductory course on medical devices will guide you on your journey to becoming a localization expert for medical devices.
It has two important aims: to prepare you for localizing medical devices effectively and efficiently and to help you gain confidence as a translator of medical device content.

In this course, you’ll learn to:
– identify and classify different medical devices;
– identify different types of target readers and adapt the content to suit their needs;
– localize different types of medical device content, including medical device labeling, user interfaces and marketing content;
– find reference materials specific to medical devices,
– leverage the DITA standard used in the localization of technical content.

The course consists of five modules with activities and further readings to help you access additional information about the topics.
