German Translators' Workshop

The German Translators' Workshop takes place every first Thursday of the month at 6:00 PM. To participate in an upcoming session, please contact Steph Morris in advance via email at herr_morris@yahoo.com.

This regular workshop is designed for German-English literary translators and provides a space for professional discussion. Participants are welcome to bring excerpts of their translations, discuss translation challenges, or simply attend to offer and receive feedback.

Steph Morris is an experienced translator and author with extensive expertise in literary translation and a background in visual arts. He has translated works by authors such as Ilse Aichinger, Brigitte Reimann, and Martin Suter into English. Having lived in Berlin for over a decade, he now resides in London, where he conducts this open-access workshop for translators on a monthly basis.
