❓Are you working to add (passive or active) English to your combination?
❓Do you know which version of English to choose?
❓Do you want to know how real anglophones express themselves – and what they mean?
The Cambridge Conference Interpretation Course (CCIC) will offer a targeted additional 3 ½ day module, combining all our English-focused content, so you may concentrate purely on language acquisition, comprehension and use, rather than on interpreting skills.
- Focus your attention on what speakers are likely to say – and what they mean.
- Find out the differences between American English and British English.
- Learn about cultural nuances that anglophones take for granted.
❓ For example, what do “Monday morning quarterbacking” and “bowling a googly” have in common, and why will you never see them in the same sentence (except here)?
We will work closely on idioms, quotations, prosody, stress, production and delivery, making sure that what you want to say comes out clearly, unambiguously, and fluidly, and makes minimum demands on your listeners.
As a bonus, join an accountability practice group for the month of September, continuing the journey towards better English, to improve your:
- Understanding
- Pronunciation
- Stress
- Delivery
- Memory
This Enhance your English Workshop is open to anyone with any language, as long as they speak and understand enough English to participate in the classes. Places will be awarded first to participants on the current CCIC course, then opened up to others.
